The University of Sheffield, in South Yorkshire, England, is a multi-campus facility, with five academic faculties comprising a wide and varied collection of departments, ranking among the top 10 UK universities which receives research grant funding.
Part of the Russell Group, It is one of the original red brick universities and has been a home to eight Nobel laureates as well as former Home Secretary, David Blunkett; Aviation Pioneer, Amy Johnson and Olympic Gold medallist, Jessica Ennis to name a few.
Over the last 10 years, the University has been undergoing extensive construction and refurbishment throughout its city wide campus, including a new six-storey building, the Diamond, which was built in 2015. Since 2016 the University started working with Sheffield City Council to transform public spaces around the campus and this £8 million project includes building restoration, improvements in pedestrianisation, cycle routes, in addition to creating green areas throughout the campus.
Bailey Streetscene in partnership with Artform Urban Furniture, supplied a substantial number of the popular Ascot litter bins across the campus, including dedicated recycling and ash units. Its contemporary and simplistic style allows the bin to look at home amongst the modern buildings, as well as the historic red brick buildings.
The Ascot litter bin is a versatile unit with optional ashtrays. It offers in a wide variety of options for the door fronts ranging from timber cladding, powder coated steel, laser cut stainless steel, and our most recent option of charred timber.
All bins can be supplied with dedicated decals with the use of vinyl stickers and colour powder coating to serve all of your litter disposal requirements.
