Bus Shelters

Offering outdoor protection for passengers & commuters

Our Bus Shelters offer passengers and commuters protection from the worst weather, whilst also complementing the landscape surrounding any building or public space.

Featuring powder coated, galvanized steel and aluminium frames, these shelters will withstand adverse weather conditions as well as general wear and tear, and our range of bus shelters are constructed to meet the latest design and safety regulations, too.

For example, the barrel design roof of our Rhodes Bus Shelter is constructed from UV resistant 6mm polycarbonate sheeting. The side panels are 8mm shatter resistant safety glass with EC safety standard etching, whilst a comprehensive selection of integral poster cases and notice boards are available including illuminated options.

Our bus shelters are manufactured in the UK and backed up by BS EN 1090 certification (traceability, compliance and verification throughout the manufacturing process from the procurement of raw materials through to the final inspection and testing) which ensures you have a safe structure built to last.

Bus shelters play a crucial role in enhancing the aesthetic appeal of our streets in urban environments while providing a functional space for commuters.

At Bailey Streetscene, we understand the importance of this dual role and are pleased to offer a range of bus shelters that are visually appealing but also highly functional and durable.

Whether you are an architect, contractor or sub-contractor, we have a range of high quality bus shelters that will ensure project success and client satisfaction.

Why buy your bus shelter from Bailey Streetscene?

Our bus shelters are designed with a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of the visual impact that street furniture can have on an environment, particularly in urban settings.

It is important that you specify, design and install a bus shelter that performs the function intended of a bus shelter, so protection and shelter for commuters waiting for public transport.

But also, it is important that you specify a bus shelter that enhances a local area, matching its architectural style and visual appeal.

Functionality and durability

Here at Bailey Streetscene, our bus shelters are designed to withstand the harshest weather conditions, providing a safe and comfortable space for commuters.

Our shelters are equipped with ample space for seating and standing, ensuring that they can accommodate a large number of people. The shelters are also designed to be wheelchair accessible, ensuring that they are inclusive and accessible to all.

The Stoke Shelter is a popular choice among architects and contractors. Its versatility and robustness make it a suitable selection for bus shelters in urban settings.

The steel frame is available in a galvanised or powder coated finish, to add further durability to the structure.

A galvanised finish is where a protective layer of zinc is applied to steel to prevent rusting and corrosion. The zinc coating acts as a barrier preventing oxygen and water from reaching the steel, so rusting is effectively prevented.

The galvanised finish is highly durable and can withstand harsh weather conditions without losing its structural integrity, which makes it a perfect specification selection for bus shelters.

Finally, it extends the lifespan of the steel, reducing the need for maintenance or replacement. This can result in significant cost savings over time.

A powder coated finish is a type of coating that is applied as a free-flowing, dry powder. It provides a high-quality finish with a wide range of RAL colours available (talk to our team for more information).

Powder coating creates a stronger, more durable and more resilient finish than traditional paint and is useful on products that will need to stand up to harsh weather conditions or provide years of quality use.

The powder coated finish also adds further durability and protection, providing resistance to chipping, scratching, and other forms of wear.

Aesthetic appeal

Our range of bus shelters are designed to be visually appealing for architects’ and contractors’ project requirements, adding a touch of elegance and sophistication to any urban environment they are installed in.

These shelters are designed with clean lines and a streamlined look, embodying the essence of modern design principles.

This is evident in the Stoke Shelter which is a simple and striking bus shelter, combining steel and clear PET sheeting effortlessly in a modern design. The polyethylene terephthalate, or PET, is used in a 4mm sheeting as cladding for the shelter.

The advantages of using PET for bus shelter structures are it has high strength and is shatterproof, making it ideal as it can withstand constant use and wear and tear from commuters. Also, it is lightweight therefore can be transported to site and around a site easily, benefitting installers and specialist sub-contractors.

Finally, because of its modular design, you can specify the Stoke Shelter in a size that suits your project requirements. You can extend by 4m lengths according to the size you need.
