Robert Clack Lymington Fields School

Customer: Mid Group Location: Dagenham, Essex

Bailey Streetscene worked with Mid Group Ltd to complete the £26 million project at Robert Clack Lymington Fields School, Dagenham, which completed in February 2020. The client brief was for an extensive canopy to surround a large external section of the Lower School building.

The newly built school designed by architects Bond Bryan Ltd, is part of an all-through facility, that includes two separate buildings for the Primary and Secondary years. The new lower school will be able to accommodate 1,350 pupils and is situated within the Lymington Fields Development - a major expansion of the area of Dagenham.

Litter bins, cycle stands and bollards were supplied to the project, in addition to the large Moreton Canopy, with the canopy running along the side of the building, close to the main entrance and around key walkways. The unique angled design of the canopy allows water runoff into the structures integral guttering.

Originally opened in 1955, Robert Clack is a proud School of Science and is named after the man, who was Mayor to the Borough of Dagenham from 1940 to 1942. The new primary school has state of the art classrooms, a sports hall and two multi-purpose games areas.
