The Basics of Bamboo

The Basics of Bamboo

Bamboo globally has many symbolic meanings. To the Indians, bamboo is a symbol of friendship. The evergreen nature of bamboo combined with its attributes of strength has led it to being a symbol of longevity, strength and resilience across much of Eastern Asia.

Bamboo has a long history of being used for furniture and archaeological excavations in Japan have discovered bamboo structures that date back 2000-1000 BC.

Historically bamboo has been used as a material for furniture due to its strength, durability and versatility. But it is also easy to maintain and clean. It is an antibacterial material and needs no chemicals for furniture production.
