Encouraging everyone to get outside get their hands dirty and grow

The next 2 weeks see an important fortnight of encouraging children and people of all shapes and sizes to get outside and get their hands dirty. This week (25th May - June 2nd) we have National Children’s Gardening week, which celebrates the fun that gardening has to offer kids.

Teachers, parents, grandparents and businesses are all getting involved by helping children in planting plants and creating all sorts, from bug hotels to robot compost bins.

Gardening awareness logosNext week we have National Growing For Wellbeing Week.
Which celebrates the magic of growing your own produce and how this is proven to massively benefit both physically and mentally.

Approximately 1 in 4 people in the UK will experience mental ill health each year. There is strong evidence highlighting the health benefits of gardening and Grow Your Own in particular, including improved confidence, communication, concentration and ultimately self-belief.

Wheelchair Access Springwell Planter

To coincide with these events we have added a new wheelchair accessible springwell planter to our range of outdoor furniture.
This planter is ideal for schools and institutions to give everybody access to this highly valuable hobby that not only has a positive impact on our mental and physical well being but also on the environment as well.
