Bailey Streetscene provide entrance sculpture for McLaren Automotive at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2017

It’s fair to see that, as a bespoke street furniture & shelter manufacturer, we get involved in all manner of weird and wonderful projects and no two days are ever the same at Streetscene HQ.

Yet sometimes it’s not always the biggest jobs necessarily that are the most interesting or the coolest. So what could be cooler than being asked to collaborate on a project for legendary supercar maker McLarens (a company whose 720s car BBC Top Gear rated as “probably the most accomplished supercar we’ve ever driven”)?

Bailey Streetscene were approached to supply two concrete plinth bench units. These units were to form the foundation of a branded entrance display for McLarens showcase stand at Goodwood Festival of Speed 2017. Streetscene were presented with a drawing by others as a basis of the design. Using our experience, we then advised on integral fixings that we could install for the glass / acrylic signage that was to be attached. We also proposed an alternative concrete bench that would actually be more suitable for the requirements of the job.

Drawings were approved, prices agreed and benches went put into production for a quick lead time, with Bailey Streetscene advising on offloading for when the goods arrived.

In fact funnily enough, it was the kind of slick co-ordination and seamless team work that you would normally associate with an F1 pit stop!
