Composition

The TRAMWAY bus shelter is made up of a foundation structure in 140x70x3 mm and 50x40x2 mm rectangular steel tube covered in 5mm thick corten steel sheet, and a main structure that has an original curve shape, with an internal structure in 50x50x2 mm square steel tube with 12 mm thick sheet reinforcements, also covered in corten steel sheet (25/10 mm thick on the front and 6 mm thick on the sides).

Given its special monolithic form, the shelter is positioned and fixed onto special 7 mm thick steel plates with M12 anchors, to be concreted in during the foundation construction phase, using suitable lifting equipment. On request, the shelter can also be equipped with a bench with 1650x400x60 mm exotic wood seat, 25/10 mm thick corten steel sheet structure, as well as aluminium signposts. The electrical components for lighting the rear of the shelter are placed inside the bench with housings for the light bulbs inside the foundation, or for the top of the front with housings for the light bulbs inside a special polyester powder coated extruded aluminium profile. On request, the shelter can be supplied with a side walls with a foundation similar to that used for the main structure, and 1453 mm or 953 mm long 10 + 10 mm tempered glass panes.

All of the corten steel parts are sandblasted and treated with a unique oxidisation cycle.
